Resumes are an important part of your professional presence. Feel free to use this resume template if you don’t have your own!
We accept all majors within the Leavey School of Business, as well as Economics majors in the College of Arts & Sciences.
There isn’t a fixed image of the perfect candidate that we look for in potential recruits, as we value diversity of skill and thought in our chapter. We do, however, like to see success-oriented team players with a potential for both personal and professional development.
Some qualities that we look for in recruits include professional aptitude, willingness to learn and contribute, and a high trajectory for growth.
Yes! We encourage our brothers and prospective members to get involved on campus with other organizations. Just be mindful of the time commitment that pledging may require, which is comparable to that of an added class.
Please note, however, that you may not pledge for or join another professional fraternity if you are a member of Delta Sigma Pi.
There is rarely a fixed number of recruits that our chapter sets prior to recruitment. The number of invitations we extend varies and depends greatly on the number of prospects we believe are qualified. Historically, pledge classes have ranged from 10 members to as many as 18.
Delta Sigma Pi is the only professional fraternity on campus that recruits exclusively from the Leavey School of Business. What this means is that you are given entry into an expansive network of students that you will encounter in your classes, especially as you move into your upper division major electives.
As one of the oldest professional fraternities on campus, we have alumni and active brothers spanning multiple industries, giving our members a competitive advantage throughout their job search.
When you receive an invitation to pledge, you are receiving an invitation to learn and grow alongside your peers throughout an intensive 6-8 week long process. The process is designed to help you grow personally and professionally, shaping you into a young business professional of the highest caliber.
Pledges are taught about our Fraternity’s history and operational requirements, while honing their soft skills through leadership development and team-building events put on by your Pledge Education team. As a pledge class, you will plan and host a number of community service, professional development, and social events throughout the quarter to align yourself with our chapter’s values and prepare to join the brotherhood!
Pledges are each paired with a Big Brother, who will act their mentor during and after their pledging process. At the end of the pledging process, pledges are considered for formal initiation into the chapter.
